Will a solar power system cover all of my bill?

This will depend on how much electricity you consume, what time of the day you consume most of your electricity, where you live and what size solar power system you install. A solar power system can be easily tailored to suit your needs.

Will I still need to be connected to the grid?

Yes, you will still need electricity from the grid. A solar power system will only generate electricity throughout the day as it generates electricity from sunlight, so you will still need electricity at night time or when you are consuming higher levels of electricity than what your system is generating.

Will I need batteries for my system?

Because the solar power system is connected directly to the grid, there is no need for batteries. The cost of a battery backup system is usually quite high. However, in some circumstances where you do not have access to power lines, a battery backup (off-grid) solar power system may be needed.

How much will this reduce my carbon emissions?

Solar power generates no harmful carbon emissions or gashouse gases making clean electricity directly from the sun. This will help you offset or possibly eliminate your carbon emissons.
